Building healthier communities through women.
Every woman deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, informed, and empowered life. HELWA Foundation partners with communities, healthcare professionals, educators, and institutions to improve access to health, education, literacy, and wellness across Nigeria.
About HELWA
Investing in women.Strengthening communities.
The Her Education, Literacy & Wellness Advancement (HELWA) Foundation is a Nigerian non-profit organization founded by Dr. Rasheedah Amussah.
We believe lasting community development begins by investing in women and girls. Through health education, community-based programmes, strategic partnerships, and evidence-informed initiatives, HELWA works to improve access to primary healthcare, education, literacy, and wellness while strengthening families and communities.

Creating pathways for women and communities to grow through leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.
Our Work
Turning purpose into action.
